=== ''Nemtudomka'' (reported by János Erdélyi) ===
In 1855, [[János Erdélyi]] reported a variant without giving its source in his collection of folktales ''Magyar népmesék'': "Once there was a king in Scythia, from where the Hungarians take their origin, whose wife after a few years gave birth to a prince Daniel..." Daniel gets himself a foal, Nemtudomka. The king goes to the war and leaves the queen and the son in care of a general. The general has an affair with the queen and they decide to get rid of Daniel. At first the queen tries to stab Daniel, then to poison him, but Nemtudomka thwarts these attempts. Then the plotters want to kill Nemtudomka pretending that the queen has to eat some foal's liver for health. Daniel and Nemtudomka run off, but not before Daniel tells the king about queen's infidelity. Nemtudomka brings Daniel to England, and there the "I don't know'' shpiel proceeds, similarly to other variants of the tale.<!--I am just lazy to type :-) --> Eventually he became crowned in London.<ref>ERDÉLYI JÁNOS, [https://mek.oszk.hu/07600/07683/07683.htm ''Magyar népmesék''], Pest, 1855</ref>
