As of the [[census]]{{GR|2}} of 2000, there were 2,614 people, 916 households, and 619690 families residing in the city. The [[population density]] was 1,2980.8/km² (3,187.6/mi²). There were 965 housing units at an average density of 454.4/km² (1,176.8/mi²). The racial makeup of the city was 94.99% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.08% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.92% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.87% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 0.09% [[Pacific Islander (U.S. Census)|Pacific Islander]], 1.57% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]], and 1.95% from two or more races.
