* My American Heart and Downtown Singapore were really good friends, so when Jeremy Mendez left MAH and [[Downtown Singapore]] broke up, Spud was asked to fill in.
*The Band's name is derived from a [[Piebald (band)]] song called "American Hearts". The band thought the meaning was a great way to represent themselves since the members all came from Spanish/Asian Pacific Islander/French backgrounds raised in America. It was perfect timing since being threatened for the use of "No Way Out." The music style changed as well line up. It was time for a brand new name.
*Larry had a web design firm called My American Heart.
