Roblox ships with a downloaded client application for playing the game and with a Roblox Studio application which allows advanced users to make models using a [[CAD]]-like environment and script game entities using [[Lua]].

Warning: Roblox configures something which may cause problems with other downloaded software, and instead of installing your download, it will re-install Roblox.

Roblox has been online in its current [[Beta_test#Alpha|alpha-test]] stage since July 2006. Since then 26,000 users have opened accounts.
