Paul Campos's legal scholarship has focused largely on questions regarding legal interpretation, and especially on the ways in which law can become a kind of substitute pseudo-religion in a secularized culture. In 2003, the Colorado Daily named him "Best University of Colorado Professor" in its annual Best of Boulder edition.
He also has a daughter, Leia "Tizri" Eleanor Campos Zelig. He has a very small dog named Mr. Puff (aka Pibb) and has recently taken up an interest in researching the pornography industry.
Paul Campos is a frequent contributor to The Victors Board, which discuss Michigan athletics, and general news and notes. He won the Poster of the Year Award in 2006. He is considering a white paper on risk/reward strategies of 4th down situations, and the questionable punting and kicking decisions of certain major college coaches.
