Webb attended Dallas Roosevelt High School where he once was high school teammates of Aaron Wallace Los Angeles/Oakland Raiders, and Kevin Williams (wide reciever) Dallas Cowboys/Arizona Cardinals/Buffalo Bills/San Francisco 49ers.He was selected by the Dolphins as the ninth overall pick in the [[1990 NFL Draft]].
 
He played for the Dolphins for 11 seasons and set team records for 118 consecutive starts and seven consecutive [[Pro Bowls]]. After playing for the Dolphins, he went on to play two seasons for the Bengals. Injuries brought him down and he tried out for the Dolphins in 2003 but he wasn't signed and decided to retire in the fall of 2004. On [[July 9]], [[2005]], Richmond Webb signed a one-day contract to retire as a member of the Dolphins.
