== NS_USER pages ==

Aren't the pages under the NS_USER namespace protected? I thought user pages should be allowed to be edited only by the owner of the page. As of now anyone can edit the pages under the user namespace.

Please clarify.....

:User pages are editable by anyone. However, css/js user subpages are automatically protected and can be edited only by that user or by an admin. If you want non-admins to have protected user pages, an easy hack is to add <nowiki>{{User:{{{1}}}/Me.css}}</nowiki> to the user page, protect it, and then the user will be able to edit <nowiki>[[User:whatever/Me.css]]</nowiki> instead. They won't be able to preview the page in the normal way though. See [[wikicities:c:furry:Category:Protected person articles]] for examples. [[User:Angela|Angela]] 11:25, 21 February 2006 (UTC)
