Line 10: Shintō is the native religion of Japan, and is shamanistic and polytheistic. Most of Japanese leaders are shintoists. :This is an very important comment! I've realized most articles about Shinto only focuses on small details and is suffering from a bad case of [[exceptionalism]] (which is very often the case with articles about Japanese culture). What's really important is to see shinto's [[shamanism\|shamanist]] origin and relationship with other shamanist cultures, in particular [[Korean shamanism\|Korean]].
