I've realized most articles about Shinto only focuses on small details and is suffering from a bad case of [[exceptionalism]] (which is very often the case with articles about Japanese culture). What's really important is to see shinto's [[shamanism|shamanist]] origin and relationship with other shamanist cultures, in particular [[Korean shamanism|Korean]].
