Line 11:
Hanauma Bay is the very best spot on Oahu for snorkeling, and caters to everyone from beginners to the most experienced snorkelers. On most days, the bay offers to swimmers a picturesque view of the oceanlife.

Visitors are required by law to refrain from mistreating the animals or from touching, walking or otherwise having contact with the coral, which appear like very large rocks sitting on the ocean floor. However, even if this law were not in place, it is highly recommended not to walk on the coral as it can and will damage the skin. It is particularly unwise to neglect wounds sustained from swimming in areas like these, as bacteria may grow in the gashwound, causing more complications andmedical problems.

Admission is free to the "Kama'aina," or those who reside locally upon showing identification. All others are asked to pay a small fee to enter. Private companies also cater to the public with tram rides and food services, as well as supplies for snorkeling.
