One of the first big [[Casinoscasinos]] in [[Las Vegas]], '''The Flamingo''' [[hotel]] hadboasted lavish shows and glorious accomodations for it'sits day. The [[casino]] became well known for it'sits comfortable, air conditioned accomodationsrooms, beautiful gardens and fabulous swimming pools. The Flamingo helped popularize the concept of offering a "complete experience" as opposed to simple [[gambling]].
Funding for the Casinocasino came from [[Mob Moneymob]] money and it was conceptualized and it'sits construction was supervised by the infamous [[Mobmob Figure]]figure, [[Benmamin Seigel]]. (Commonlycommonly known as [[Bugsy Seigel]]). When it had been discovered that Ben Seigel was Skimmingskimming money from the building funds, his death was ordered and management for the casino changed hands.
The Flamingo still operates to this day, although it has since been completely torn down and rebuilt to accomodate more guests and cater to families vacationing in [[Las Vegas]].
