La '''.22 Long''' è una [[cartuccia a percussione anulare]] variante della calibro .22 (5,56 mm). La .22 Long è la seconda più vecchia cartuccia a percussione anulare poiché risale al 1871 quando era caricata con un proiettile da 1,9 g (29 grani) a 0,32 g (5 grani) di [[polvere nera]], il 25% in più rispetto alla [[.22 Short]] dalla quale deriva.
