He served from [[January 19]] [[1999]] until [[August 3]] [[2003]]. He was proceeded and succeeded by [[Gegong Apang]]. For much of his political career he was a member of the [[Indian National Congress]] and then the [[Arunachal Congress]] but he broke from the Arunachal Congress in 1998 to form the [[Arunachal Congress-Mithi]].
