Hakaider almost succeeded in killing Kikaider, but he was forced to stop fighting because he needs periodic blood transfusions from Dr. Komoji's body. When ''skeleton flying squirrel'' defeated Hakaider, Mitsuko was able to return Komyoji's brain to his body.
