"although he is also reported in the New Testament to have heard Jesus ask why he was persecuting him on the road to Damascus and to have had scales on his eyes which fell off when he met the person he was foretold to meet". This is placed in the opening paragraphs, but it seems slightly OTT for the article on Jesus to be placed there. And what is the point--is it inserted to lead the reader to a conclusion, or is it irrelevant?
