Ha Tinh Province is located in the Northern part of central Vietnam, about 340km south of [[Ha Noi]], facing [[Nghệ An province]] in the North, [[Quảng Bình]] in the South, [[Laos]] in the West, and the [[South China seaSea]] in the East.

Ha Tinh has many touristic locations of historical and cultural interest. It is home to national figures such as [[Nguyen Du]], [[Nguyen Cong Tru]], [[Phan Đinh Phung]], [[Ha Huy Tap]], [[Ngo Ðuc Ke]], [[Huy Cận]]. Notable scenic areas include Vũ Môn Falls, Garden Vũ Quang, Lake Kẻ Gỗ, hot springs Sơn Kim, Pass đèo Ngang, pagoda Hương Tích, Hòn Bớc, Hòn Lám, and beautiful beaches at Thiên Cầm, Ðèo Con, Xuân Thành, Chân Tiên. Most of these are along the routes 1A and 8.
