A retroscripted [[Screenplay|script]] contains a [[Plot (narrative)|plot]] outline and leaves dialogue deliberately vague for interpretation by the actors through [[Improvisational_comedy|improv]]. Retroscripting can add strong [[Realism (dramatic arts)|realism]] and [[characterization]] to dialogue.
