== Outstanding issues ==

As this isn't yet a completed template, it still has some outstanding issues.

*There's no good way to link to Pokémon articles in the form of Whatever (Pokémon)|Whatever, such as [[Raikou (Pokémon)]] or [[Persian (Pokémon)]]. (This problem is visible on [[Meowth]]).

**Possible solution: Move the brackets out of the template and into the articles, but this would take a lot of changing by hand.

*There's no good way to exclude Johto Pokédex info from third-gen Pokémon

**Temporary solution: We're currently using the extrapolated Johto numbers from [[b:Pokédex]].

**Longterm solution: Move to a sub-template that defaults to blank, much like [[Template:PokemonType]].
