The single was originally released in [[Australia]], Italy, and the [[United Kingdom]] on [[November 21]]st, [[2003]] but was later released in [[North America]], [[France]], and [[ItalyFrance]] on [[March 16]]th, [[2004]].

Madonna's record label, Warner Bros., decided to wait with a single release of the song in North America to combine promotion for the single with the release of the [[Estée Lauder]] perfume 'Beyond Paradise'. This marketing move makes sense, as the song was featured in the advertisement for the perfume. All North American Maxi CD's contained a perfume tester. Besides, the Love Profusion video is very similar to the actual perfume advertisement. Both were directed by French director [[Luc Besson]].
