Delphi is descended from [[Turbo Pascal]] and was released in 1995. C# was first released in 2000. How can Delphi be a descendant of C#? As for Groovy, have you tried reading the [[Groovy (programming language)\|WP article]]? It has a C/Java-like syntax, so if Java is a descendant of C, then Groovy is too.
