Baroque music started out as being homophonic. But later as Handel and Bach came along , they brought polyphonic music to a great level.The baroque music had improvisation which means that the written music contained few instuctions and the performers added to it by themselves.The dynamics were terraced. Which means that they experienced sudden shifts in volume and there was change in intensity.They did this by adding a subtracting instruments.The music had steady tempo. And the tonality was major and minor. Major was said to be happy while minor to experience grief.

Baroque music is very popular for Basso Continuo. It has 2 important voices ; the top and bottom.It is when thethey also had inner voices playing supporive roles. The figured base was used in writting music. Figured bass is a musical shorthand which indicates what notes to play.
