The third generation, B6 platfrom ([[2001]] as [[2002]] models - [[2005]]) S4 debuted in late-[[2002]] as a [[2003]] model, three years after it's predecessor had gone out of production. Despite having moved to yet another entirely new platform, the S4's most publicized new feature was it's engine.
