Hi! I am '''programming gecko'''. As you might have guessed, I am a [[programmer]] (well, a programming ''student'', actually), although I am not actually a [[gecko]].

I have been editing Wikipedia anonymously and sporadically for a rather long time; I finally signed up for an account on November 28, 2008.

My main interests are [[computer programming]] and [[software engineering]], and I will probably be editing pages about those subjects frequently, especially pages about [[Java (programming language)|Java]], the programming language that I know best. Other major interests include [[web design]], [[Catholicism]], the [[Latin language]], the [[politics of the United States]], the [[War on Terror]], [[Andorra]], and [[Vatican City]]. I also seem to be finding myself drawn to mundane "clean-up" tasks, like [[WP:Disambiguation pages with links|removing links to disambiguation pages]].

For those interested (and because I don't like how the userboxes clutter up the page), I would rate myself as "advanced" in the [[Java (programming language)|Java]], [[JavaScript]] and [[Python programming language|Python]] languages, as "intermediate" in [[C (programming language)|C]], [[C++]] and [[PHP programming language|PHP]], as "beginner" in [[assembly language]] ([[x86 assembly language|x86]] and [[MIPS architecture#Assembly language|MIPS]]), [[C sharp programming language|C#]], [[Lisp programming language|Lisp]] and [[Perl]], and as "[[leet|1337]]" in [[TI-BASIC]]. I am also acquainted with [[LOLCODE]], and would like to learn [[INTERCAL]] just for the fun of it. Straying out of programming languages and into web design, I am very proficient with both [[XHTML]] and [[CSS]].

In case you didn't notice the userbox, I am a girl, although out of long habit of obsessive anonymity, I may from time to time absent-mindedly refer to myself with the [[singular they#Generic he|generic he]].

I'm the kind of person who's not likely to start a conversation unless absolutely necessary, but if someone wants to talk to me for some reason, I'll respond as soon as I can&mdash;most likely between 1:00 and 3:00 [[UTC]].
