Object Data Manager is a database of system and device configuration information integrated into [[AIX operating system|AIX]]. The ODM is unique to AIX compared to other UNIX operating systems.

Example of information stored in the ODM database are:

* network configuration

* [[LVM]] configuration

* Logical devices or drivers

* physical hardware device installed

* menus, screens and commands that [[SMIT]] uses
