It is set in a Sydney suburban hospital called ''"All Saints General Western Hospital".'' In 2004 the show was radically changed with a new setting (Emergency) and new faces. Up until then, All Saints focused on the lives of the nurses of Ward 17 - AKA the "garbage ward" because it took all the overflow of patients. The show debuted on Australian screens on the [[24th February]], 1998. The external shots (the sweeping shots of the skyline and hospital) are filmed at the [[Concord Repatriation Hospital]]. [[Ku-Ring Gai Hospital]] in Sydney has also been used for external filming and other filming eg. the operating theatres.
All Saints has been rating well. It continues to be the most popular Australian television drama.
