FormatiSono stati formati ad [[Hull]] ([[Yorkshire]]) nel [[1969]] da [[Genesis P-Orridge]] e [[Cosey Fanni Tutti]]. Le loro azioni sono caratterizzate da una forte componente [[autolesionismo|autolesionista]] che funge spesso da detonatore per una guerriglia psicologica finalizzata alla trasgressione delle regole sociali e [[contestazione]] nei confronti del [[puritanesimo]] stratificato.
 
Fecero inoltre parte del gruppo Foxtrot Echo (o Echo Foxxtrot), Fizzey Peet, [[Peter Christopherson|Peter "Sleazy" Christopherson]] e [[Chris Carter]].
