Line 16:
A Sound of Thunder by Ray Bradbury is a story about a hunter who goes back in time to hunt dinosaurs, steps on a butterfly, and thus changes the future, so I'm pretty sure that if there is a source of the title, it was that. What was "Gun For Dinosaur" about?

The movies title clearly refers primarily to Lorentz's term "The Butterfly Effect" rather than Bradbury, his source. The sentence structure here (naming Bradbury before Lorentz) seems to imply that the movie studio came up with the term independently of Lorentz. I highly doubt that is the case.
