Where are your peer reviewed papers that substantiate this claim? DNA population genetics studies of the Burmese Pythons found in the Florida Everglades National Park seem to say otherwise. In fact, no one has ever been convicted, or even charged, with letting a pet Burmese Python loose anywhere near the Florida Everglades National Park, or even anywhere in the U.S., period.
