In [[Fredric Brown]]'s science-fiction novel ''[[What Mad Universe]]'' a magazine editor from our own world is accidentally sent to a parallel Earth significantly different from ours; on that world, the editor reads a magazine article written by Paul Gallico that was never written in our world.

In 1975, the British progressive rock band [[Camel (bandgruppo musicale)|Camel]] released an album of work based on Gallico's ''The Snow Goose''. Although the author was initially opposed to the album's release, legal action was evaded on the condition that the band used the words ''Music Inspired by The Snow Goose'' on the album's cover.
