'''Abstract and Applied Analysis''' is a peer-reviewed [[mathematical]] [[journal]] focusing on papers in the fields of abstract and [[applied analysis]] and traditional forms of analysis such as [[linear]] and [[nonlinear]], both ordinary and partial [[differential equations]], [[Optimization (mathematics)|optimization theory]], and [[control theory]].<br />

The journal was founded by Professor Athanassios G. Kartsatos of the Department of Mathematics of the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida, in 1996. Professor Kartsatos was the editor-in-chief of the journal from 1996 to 2005.
