:I think the article is some kind of vague or incomplete, because the page refered to have fewer updates lately. [http://gcc.gnu.org/gcc-4.3/changes.html This] GCC 4.3 Release Series description page instead tells us: gcj uses Eclipse Java compiler for parsing, making gcj accept [[Java_version_history#J2SE_5.0_.28September_30.2C_2004.29|Java 1.5]] (AKA 5.0) constructions. Maybe the page refd to, reflects that the parsing was suddenly much more mature without the gcj maintainers wiggling their fingers too much. [[User:Rursus|Rursus]] dixit.
