How would you deal with irrational administrators? Especially when a bunch of them gang up on ordinary mortals. Shivraj Singh 09:55, 8 January 2006 (UTC)
:I have no qualms about dealing with administrators who misuse their position. That is, of course, totally different from those who are only involved in a dispute editorially. I strongly believe the principle that administrative status gives one no more weight editorially, and so your question is a bit ambiguous in that regard. There is no "ganging up" in a proper admin action; if an action is proper, then the agreement and enforcement by other admins is also proper, or if it is improper, then the agreement and enforcement by other admins is also improper. But the fact is that many fall somewhere in between, and while I believe in giving admins lattitude in using their own discretion in such circumstances, I have also been critical of admins who do so against consensus or are unresponsive to criticism. Hope this helps answer your question. Dmcdevit·t 00:27, 9 January 2006 (UTC)
