Discussion: {{bots|deny=InactivityEmailBot}} {{bots|optout=email}}
Line 63:
:To clarify, I realize this has been made compatible with {{tl|nobots}}, but I wonder if there should be a general list if these type bots will become common place. Back when notifications were being sent by emaill about steward elections or something else on meta, I opted out of that and future mailings by adding my name to a list. I prefer not to receive automated messages of any kind. Maybe this is a discussion for another day, but it seems relevant. --[[User:AuburnPilot|<font color="#000080">auburn</font><font color="#CC5500">pilot</font>]]&nbsp;[[User_talk:AuburnPilot|<small>talk</small>]] 04:26, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
::Some kind of generic message like {{tlx|1=bots|2=optout=email}} could work. –<font face="verdana" color="black">[[user:xeno|'''xeno''']]</font>[[user talk:xeno|<font color="black"><sup>talk</sup></font>]] 04:38, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
::{{ec}}As a wiki page, presumably you're welcome to modify the email message. I don't foresee any other messaging of any users, but the addition to bots of <nowiki>{{bots|optout=email}}</nowiki> could address future concerns.
::*The bot will need to honour <nowiki>{{</nowiki>[[:template:bots|bots]]|deny=InactivityEmailBot}}, as I think this functionality is reasonably demanded by a member of the community. [[User_talk:Josh Parris|Josh Parris]] 04:56, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
