'''Model United Nations Development Programme''' ('''MUNDP''' or '''KOCMUNDP''') is a [[Model United Nations]] conference organized by The Koc School MUN Club Members, in [[The Koc School]], [[Turkey]], every year in March. Its difference from the other Model United Nations conferences is that it is a simulation of the "United Nations Development Programme", so it is unique in the world. MUNDP is not a regular General Assembly conference but instead, it is a "Role-Modelling Conference" where schools are not assigned delegations but rather seats in respective committees.<ref>{{cite web|url=http://www.kocschool.k12.tr|title=The Koc School|accessdate=April 4, 2010}}</ref><ref>{{cite web|url=http://mundp.kocschool.k12.tr|title=Model United Nations Development Programme|accessdate=April 4, 2010}}</ref>
The delegates participating in the conference find long-term, medium-term and short-term solutions to the current crises, which are debated during the conference. After debating, the delegates create a solution document called an "action paper." Then delegates send their action papers to [[United Nations Development Programme]], who examines these documents and uses them in real life if they are viable, useful and logical.
Each committee comprises 15 to 20 delegates and two experienced chairs, who moderate the debates and provide the delegates with further insight on the debated topics.
Besides the delegates, the conference hosts guests who act either as a keynote speaker or a facilitator. The former [[United Nations]] [[Secretary-General of the United Nation|Secretary General]], [[Kofi Annan]] was the keynote speaker of the first conference in 2001. The keynote speaker makes a speech about the theme of the conference as well as making a speech at the closing ceremony. The keynote speaker of MUNDP 2010 was [[Fawaz Gerges]]. The facilitators are very well-informed and experienced on the topics and inform/train delegates on the topics during the conference.
Conference lasts four days in total, inclusive of an opening dinner at a prestigious restaurant in [[Istanbul]], [[Turkey]].
On the days following the opening dinner, the participants debate on various topics to come up with comprehensive action papers. On the last day of the conference, a Closing Ceremony happens and the action papers from the committees are shared during the ceremony. [[Model United Nations]] 2010 took place between February 25-28 in [[The Koc School]] campus. Around 400 participants from [[Azerbaijan]], [[Italy]] and [[Turkey]] participated in the conference. The theme of MUNDP 2010 was "The Arab League States". [[Fawaz Gerges]] made a speech at the opening dinner as the keynote speaker of the conference.
The conference had 14 committees in order to be a complete simulation of [[United Nations Development Programme]].

''5 UNIFEM / Women’s Empowerment'':The committee provides financial and technical assistance to innovative programmes and strategies to foster women’s empowerment and gender equality. open to all delegates
''6 UNESCO / Building Knowledge Societies'':This committee focuses on knowledge sharing between arab universities and the internationally respected universities, increasing the amount people enrolled in elementary education, and reforming elementary and high levels of education. open to all delegates
''7 UNICEF – High Council for Youth / Youth Movements'':The committee provides financial and technical assistance for children and adolescents. It focuses on education, gender equality, child survival and development, HIV/AIDS and children, child protection, policy advocacy and partnerships. open to all delegates
''8 BCPR / Crisis Prevention & Recovery'' :This committee focuses upon the vulnerability of recently developing cities agaisnt earthquakes and other natural hazards due to rapid increase of population, uncontrolled urbanization and poor city planning, reducing the effects of leakage of petroleum on the environment, and cleaning the unexploded remnants of war. open to all delegates
''9 World Bank'':The committee is a vital source of financial and technical assistance to developing world. It is made up of two development institutions owned by 185 member countries- the International Bank for Reconstructions and Development (IBRD) and the International Development Assosiation (IDA). The committee provides loans, interest-free credits, grants to developing world and make investments in education, health, public administration, infastructure, financial and private sector development, agriculture and environmental and natural resource management. ''10 Historical Committee'':A simulation of the breakup of the Middle East following WW1. This committee differs from other committees in that delegates will discuss a historical issue and roleplay historical characters and organizations. Over the course of the conference, the committee will debate and produce an action paper. IB History students preferred, or other suitable academic background.
''11 United Nations Human Rights Council'':Delegates will focus on human rights violations and issues in the Arab States that relate to development issues of concern to UNDP. Prior Human Rights experience strongly recommended. Suitable only for experienced delegates.
''12 UNSC'':A simulation of the UNSC where the agenda will be focused on the Arab League states and political problems of especial concern to UNDP interests. This SC model will be different from regular UNSC’s in that prepared resolutions will be of less importance, the P5 countries will not have veto powers and will thus be treated as any other SC representative, and committee debates will encompass the philosophical importance of Security Council and Development Program topics. Testimony will be taken from other committees as needed. Suitable only for delegates with prior Security Council experience.
''13 Arab League “Global Climate Change” Summit'': The simulation of an international summit, similar to an Arab League conference. In this committee, the delegates from several Arab States will address topics of concern to climate change and sustainable energy development. While there is limited overlap with the GEF committee, the ALS will address the topic of climate change in the Arab states in a more detailed and politically comprehensive manner. Suitable for IB Bio / LIfe Sciences students. Suitable only for experienced delegates.
''14 ICJ / Palestine vs. Israel'':This committee is a simulation of the ICJ where the questions and conflicts between member states are discussed and resolved peacefully. This committee focuses on the issue of the wall that is being built by the Israeli Government on the West Bank on the socio-economic life in Palestine. It will reach a resolution on the fate of the wall considering its humanitarian and economic impacts, as well as on the development of Palestine. Development-related topics include, but are not limited to, the effects on education, food production, electricity problems, access to clean water resources, and the impact upon commerce in the regions that the wall passes through and surrounds. The theme of MUNDP 2011 is Asia and the Pacific. MUNDP 2011 will take place between March 3-6, 2011. More than 450 participants are expected to attend the conference and there will be at least 18 committees.<ref>{{cite web
