If you are aware of reliable/current data suggesting otherwise by all means edit and cite, but I feel it would have to be fairly substantial to change to anything other than 1-3 or 2-3 years. :However you seem to have only looked at US sources. If you look at other developed nations (EU, former members of British commonwealth, etc., you will see that 3-5 is more typical.
