Il capitolo è il 46. Forse fu un errore di stampa del libro (hanno scritto 606 invece di 616), comunque questa è la dimostrazione che prima bisogna documentarsi su più fonti e se si contraddicono tra loro scegliere quella più attendibile (Edward Gibbon in questo caso). Inoltre è meglio documentarsi su fonti specialistiche. Cioè un libro generico sulla Libia, scritto da qualcuno che non ha studiato approfonditamente l'Impero bizantino, può anche commettere errori di approssimazione come l'esarcato d'Africa fondato nel 550, se invece si consulta un libro specialistico come l'Ostrogorsky, si scoprirà che la riforma degli esarcati risale agli anni 580.--[[Speciale:Contributi/79.26.9.106|79.26.9.106]] ([[User talk:79.26.9.106|msg]]) 13:42, 25 mag 2010 (CEST)

Se questa è la voce dedicata alla Jamāhīriyya, perché c'è una sezione dedicata alla storia della regione? Dovremmo allora inserire questa sezione anche in [[Regno Unito di Libia]]...
