*Approximately 230,000 web pages, organised into more than 180 Web services.

*Daily news, events, funding opportunities and research showcases, provided by both the European Commission and by user contributions

*300,000 records, plus further hosted databases and related services.

*An interactive environment to find research partners and to support discussion forums

*Some 50,000 downloadable documents.

*Over 180 thematic services, national contact points, extensive user guidance, a large library of documents and a range of search facilities, including custom email alerts and RSS feeds.

*Extensive user guidance, and a range of sophisticated search facilities, including an automatic e-mail alert facility enabling users to receive notification of updates to information assets

*Further databases and services to support EU research activities

CORDIS was created in 1990 following a Communication of the Commission for the implementation of an RTD information service (SEC(1988)1831). It has been online since 1994.
