Prior to the start of the [[Neosapien#Neosapien War|Neosapien War]], [[Neosapien Commonwealth#Phaeton|Phaeton]] lured the Exofleet, then consisting of six exocarriers and countless support vessels, away from the Homeworlds to fight the [[Pirate Clans]], but they later became a part of the Exofleet themselves. For some time, the Exofleet was the only safe harbor for the Terrans ([[Homo sapiens]]).

At the beginning of the Neosapien War, Exofleet possessed at least ten of the most powerful [[space battleship]]s in the entire Solar System - the '''Exo-Frame carrier ships''' or simply, '''exocarriers''', by far the largest ships in the known space, inspired by 20th century [[aircraft carrier]]s. Their primary function as [[mother ship]]s was to deploy and recover much smaller Exofleet ships, such as [[space fighter]]s, [[E-frame]]s and jumptroops' [[dropship]]s (frequently referred to as "jumpships") in battle. Apart from these, Exofleet also had several light exocarriers, as well as numerous space [[cruiser]]s and [[frigate]]s, whose number was further increased by the Pirate Clans when they sided with Winfield. These ships also had a fairly good grade of weapons batteries as they are seen fighting in a similar manner to past battleships.
