Chloe says that she can't decode the chip because it's encrypted by a highly advanced Department of Defense encryption. The only person who has authorization to access the encryption is Audrey, who is under constant, over-the-shoulder surveillance from McGill. Bill, who knows Audrey put Jack and Nathanson in contact, pulls McGill away, but McGill sees the instant messenger box on Audrey's computer close and demands an explanation. Finding none, he has Bill put into holding and says that all CTU infomation will be passed through him.
The Logans and Sukarovs say their goodbyes during a press photo shoot, and President Logan reminds his wife that he is making the correct decision. Mike Novick gives the Russian motorcade route plan to the terrorists. The First Lady gets in the Russian Presidents car, and Aaron joins her as a security precaution.
