Le sue parole: ''“Let’s speak very commercially; the game hasn’t sold what we’ve expected, therefore we won’t be doing a sequel.

In molti, però, si chiedono se questo significhi l'annullamento della patch e di (im)probabili DLC in futuro.
Il 1º Settembre 2010, [[Chris Avellone]] ha pubblicato un annuncio su [[Twitter]] in cui diceva:
''Patch is being worked on, in QA now, I believe. I don't have many details other than that, though.''
La patch 1.1 per Alpha Protocol è stata rilasciata prima per la versione americana del gioco e richiedeva una procedura abbastanza macchinosa per procedere all’installazione. In seguito, invece, è stato rilasciato un semplice eseguibile per la versione Europea.
