Thanks for your reply. Actually the Wal-Mart Superstore and the Pyramid of the Moon are both visible from the Wal-Mart parking lot, from the top of the pyramid, and from several other locations. It actually is located an easy walk from the Pyramid in other words. It's right outside the area that the United Nations' chief cultural agency, UNESCO, declared a World Heritage Site, and the construction had to be approved by Mexico's National Institute for Archaeology before permits were issued.
Even so, an altar was discovered one foot underneath the parking lot during construction, excavated and conserved on-site. Wal-Mart had to plant tall shrubbery to attempt to conceal the store... basically it is right next door, closer than my next-door neighbors were at the last place I lived. I reinserted the picture to the criticism section of Wal-Mart with a caption like 'is within easy walking distance' from the superstore, I don't think thats inaccurate or uncharitable, it may imply "convenience" to some. If you like, please make appropriate changes to the caption. I assume that your thought is to replace the current template named Virginia which is positioned at the bottom of the article. If so, I think that the draft is better and would work well in this article. However, I believe the current template is also used in many other individual Virginia articles (ie various regions, counties, cities, etc.) and I am not sure how they would be impacted or how other contributors feel.
We could try and see if we pick up any objections to this somewhat larger and more informative version. Personally, I like the new one better. Those are my thoughts. Thanks for your work on it. Mark in Historic Triangle of Virginia Vaoverland 21:38, 6 February 2006 (UTC)

Prussian Blue
Hi there! Thanks for your message and advice. I haven't registered yet-- but it is on my list of things to do. Obviously I am new to Wikipedia, so I am still learning things.
About the Talk page on Prussian Blue. My resource was Wikipedia's page in external links, which stated when they should be used and cautioned against using Wikipedia as a links farm. I will look at the other resource. I did in fact ask that there be some discussion on the Talk page, but the person who wants to use the page to promote Prussian Blue doesn't seem to be interested. He just says that he doesn't agree then reverts.I don't have any interest in going back and forth like this, so I really want to know what the procedure to solve situations like this.
PB is a contentious and controversial page-- there are a lot of people who vandalize it regularly, both anti-racists and racists. A lot of good editors have been driven away as a result. If there is a way to formally request resolution (and if this is even appropriate) I would love to know.
Thank you for your time! 38.2.108.125 17:10, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
:Sorry, I forgot to put a title on my last message.
:I have noticed for example that slowly all links that show the group in a critical light have been deleted-- to be repalced by five different "fan sites" and/or personal blogs kept by PB and their mother. This strikes me as promotional rather than encyclopedic. Anyway, it seems to be impossible to keep the page objective when fans sweep in every day to revert back what they don't like. :::Don't give up on Wikipedia just because it seems impossible to keep one article NPOV. When things get heated, I've found it helps to remove those links from your watch list for a few days. == Spamming ==
Okay, Monkeyman. You are NOT going to defame me or my site. I was not spamming wickpedia!!
Obviously someone (YOU?) kept deleting my site, which happens to be a
not-for- profit depression website which is an extremely informative, supportive and peer related depression website.
I had, nor do I have any idea whatsoever how wickpedia works.
I just know that a member of ours posted quite awhile ago telling my moderators that she found us on wickpedia....
She had posted the url and surprise, surprise... there we were. I had NO idea how, when, or why.
Back to now....*I* was just spammed by an extremist, terribly horrible group
and so I came looking for information about it, then I went to look at the depression articles while I was here
and found my site was not anywhere in sight.
So I registered and submitted my url next to my other peers' websites on depression.
Admittedly I was trying to find and keep my URL on there that someone, (I do not know who), had submitted months ago and I kept thinking that something on this site is really wrong or broken as the URL kept disappearing after continuously editing it....
Here it was YOU deleting it all that time! I have NO idea why you have targeted my site and kept on deleting it. Period. I am NOT a spammer.
I have had my share of spammers as I did the other day and would not wish it on anyone! ick.
Amazingly, you 'allow' such simular depression sites to add their URL? For example:
* DepressioNet: board for depression sufferers.
* Wing of Madness Forum - Message board and chat (They are listed on my portal)
* BluePages
* TrappedMinds.org
* HealthyPlace.com
Thank you so much for excluding me amongst my 'peers' <smile>

reverting Mnemonic page
I am curious as to why you reverted about three and half month's worth of edits in Mnemonic the other day. There were several good contributions to that page over that time and I see no reason to delete it all out (rather than manually going through and deleting unneeded information, for example). The user seems to a sneaky vandal. After your warning, there came a set of further edits on his part, which looked suspiciously like a sneaky vandalism for me, and coincided with several months old disguise tactics from the same IP. The signal to noise ratio from this contributor is near zero, and I would be happy to support a pretty harsh blocking. Note that the typical low-time blocks wouldn't help --- the edit history has pretty big gaps w/o any blocks imposed so far. I should have logged in :) I am referring to Anonymous User Talk http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:71.195.125.110 (2/19/2006 2:50 pm PST) The Article is as much commercial as the Article at Wikipedia. Did you actually read it or was the fact that its posted on ConsumerMatch.com a Shopping Site? Or is it the Adsense Ad?
::Please elaborate "commercial links", because I don't get it. The trigger of the Article was certainly the Syndication of RSS Feeds and the creation of our Weblog. If one of our partners can't make sense out of this new Technology then there must be a lot of our Visitors that have the same problem. The Article is not about maximizing sales at all? Not even as "hidden" message. (English is my second language but I did not know that it's that bad. I should have written it in german I guess). It's about Blogs and RSS and how they work and what to do with them. My Partner still visits dozens of News Websites directly because he does not know about RSS and Feed Aggregation etc. This Article is meant to be an eye opener and refers to things normal people (non-Geeks) can relate to. Should I add the Post to my Private Weblog which is not related to the whole thing at all and add that link to Wikipedia? http://www.cumbrowski.com/RoySAC/blog/ Oops, I link to a Commercial Site and also have an Adsense Ad on the Page. Should I do what Shopping.com, Priceline.com, Froogle or ShopWIki, Nextag and PriceGrabber did and add a whole new Article about ConsumerMatch.com to Wikipeda and point out there that we have a blog that also contains Useful Post to non-Shopping related things like explanations of new Technologies and buzzwords that seem spanish to joe everybody's? :::I'm not sure what your question is. You posted a link to your site on the Blog article in order to drive up traffic and collect revenue on your advertising links. You have an "Advertise on this site" link where people can pay you to place ads. And you are selling things on http://www.consumermatch.com/. Are you asking me if it's ok to advertise your site on wikipedia? The answer is 'no, it is not ok to advertise your site on wikipedia', we have enough trouble keeping ads out of the articles. Also, Wikipedia already has articles on Blogs, Blogging, XML, ATOM, RSS ... why would the Blog article need your link. ::::Aha. It's about the Google Ad. You know what... it bugged me anyway. I removed it for good. I guess it will be okay now to link to the Article or is the fact that the Article is located on a commercial ___domain already an issue? If so, does that mean, that I could provide the greatest free content without any sales pitch or any other "trick" to divert traffic and Wiki would not be able to link to it and thus not provide information hungry people with what they seek? Are you serious? I still don't think that you read the article and I also think that it would be a useful addition to the article at Wiki because it contains information and explainations that are mission in Wikis Article .... and THAT was the reason why I thought about adding it and then also did. This stupid paranoia that everybody with a comercial Website tries to sell shit to people no matter what and trying to just SPAM Wiki to lure unaware people to their Commerce Hell-Trap is complete rubbis and you know what, you could find out fairly easy by checking from where and to what the link goes. But on the other hand are most Free Everything guys that despite everything that is related to money and commercial easy to deceive by companies and their websites that are the definition of commerce and profit. --Roy-SAC 00:31, 20 February 2006 (UTC)

I think the thing to do at this point is to post what you just wrote on the talk pages at Talk:Blog and Talk:RSS and let the community take a look at your article to see if it makes a contribution worth linking to. My personal opinion is that it does not, but I'm happy to bow to the consensus of the editors. Regardless of your feeling that Monkeyman's point is "rubbis," the fact is that spam is a huge and growing problem here and we have to be vigilant about it, and your site doesn't inspire confidence on first inspection. I would be happy to be proved wrong, but until I am I have to be against using your link, sorry. rodii 01:22, 20 February 2006 (UTC)

Webcomics
Webcomic notability guidelines are at WP:WEB. They're basically just a reiteration/clarification of Wikipedia:Verifiability, that Wikipedia articles must be based on published reliable and reputable sources. The alternative -- to create an unreliable encyclopedia -- isn't really a worthwhile option. So, for example, one can write a verifiable article on Narbonic or Penny-arcade because they can be sourced to the New York Times and other reliable sources. There really isn't much serious debate on this issue -- Wikipedia:Verifiability is official policy. So, your key to webcomics-related deletion debates is "Is this article sourced to reliable sources"? If it's just a cast list and a plot summary with no references to reliable sources, it's a likely delete. -- Dragonfiend 16:29, 22 February 2006 (UTC)

I was wondering if you would reconsider your recommendation that this page is deleted now that the article has been strengthened, with independent sources. I refer you specifically to MINISTRY MAGAZINE. If you feel that more is needed then please leave me talk about how we can make this article better. We are Evonews, 14 people in support of listing The Evolution Experience for historical interest, as it can be independently verified that The Evolution Experience has had a significant impact on the development of dance culture in Wales. ::The following is an extract of Ministry, a national dance magazine in the United Kingdom.
EVOLUTION EXPERIENCE, Terminal One, The Park House Centre, HaverfordwestMinistry Magazine, August 2002 Issue, Pages 148-149; "Club of the Month, Evolution Experience" (double page review in NATIONAL dance press)
'"Since August 2002 the Evolution Experience crew have dominated the West Wales club scene. Their circus-style events have graced many sea-air-saturated venues in this area, and continue to go from strength to strength. We’re talking a 40k PA system, organomorphic visuals (Que? – Ed) and a light show that would have any hardened clubber reaching for their sunglasses. The combination of police check points near tonight’s venue, the warehouse-style main room and the whistle-wielding clientele give Terminal One a back-in-the-day vibe, of which we heartily approve. No detail has been spared by young promoters Thomas and Declan: the 40ft inflatable chill out church outside is pure class, as is the fun-fair and “bucking penis ride” (don’t ask). The sun is still setting behind us, as Dave Pearce kicks off a ridiculously early 8pm-10pm slot, but the tunes are hard enough to have an already manic crowd jumping for joy. The anthems are flowing as quickly as punters in the 2,000 capacity hanger, and we’re soon down the front getting busy. Things fall into place upon the arrival of rave-master Slipmatt. He’s definitely most at home here, complementing the feel of the night by whipping the punters into a frenzy. Lisa Lashes follows and is as mesmerising as ever, as much an attraction for her superstar DJ persona as her spinning talents. But Terminal One is a night that really belongs to the residents, a tight-knit family of hard dance lunacy that you’re as likely to find along side you on the dance floor than on the decks. The big names were gone by midnight, but the sounds gain velocity, each rezzie taking a half hour turn while the others jump around on the stage area inciting the masses. If you can beg, borrow or steal a copy of their video, you wont regret it. You cannot deny raw talent, and the Evolution Experience crew are a force to be reckoned with, so call the number above, find out about their next event, get a car full and go West."'

Hi There! In case you are not watching the deletion talk page, I added this:
*COMMENT-The band's discography from inception until present are mostly releases which also contain their own articles on Wiki and have been deemded as being notable (some had BEEN proposed for deletion but kept by administrators as notable). The band was featured on the most recent Tony Hawk video game as listed on the Wiki article for said game, and the new and not yet released album was produced by the current Guns N Roses bassist. The band might not meet the criteria of mainstream music award winnings or billboard charts, but I do believe these things make it very notable. == Link to ReturnonAffiliate.com under "affiliate marketing" ==
Sir,
The link placed for ReturnonAffiliate.com under "affiliate marketing" is no more of a commercial link then the other two there "abestweb.com" and "associatesprograms.com". If anything ReturnonAffiliate.com offers more content through blogs and social networking then the other two do. Associatesprograms.com is purely commercial with the goal of selling a product called "sitesell" and other such money making schemes. Currently ReturnonAffiliate.com has no ads and is purely an information site. I would appriciate a reply to this message and feel that it is an appropiate external link. Thank you.

You're not supposed to reprod articles. As the banner says, removing the notice is the correct way of objecting to deletion (of course, the person should provide an edit summary, but they don't have to). If someone objects, the deletion is controversial. Prod is specifically for uncontroversial deletions. See Wikipedia:Proposed_deletion#What_this_process_is_NOT_for.
