Su Shi era nato a [[Meishan]], vicino alla [[Monte Emei]],[[Sichuan]]. Anche suo fratello [[Su Che]] (蘇轍) e suo padre [[Su Xun]] (蘇洵) erano famosissimi famous [[intelletuali]].
