It is not POV to state (preferably with references) what is generally agreed to by critics, historians, scientists, and so on. I suggest you read [[NPOV#Undue_weight]], which states "NPOV says that the article should fairly represent all significant viewpoints, in proportion to the prominence of each." Since the vast majority of critical critics place Shakespeare as one of the greatest writers ever, it is not POV to state this. Read the rest of that section.
