CONREP contractors are a scam and call themselves Non Profits Organisation. They lie on court reports and keep their clients indefinitely. Their standard phrase on court reports are "he is not dangerous as long as he is under our supervision"
They are a drain on the limited resources that is budgeted for Department of Mental Health and a burden on Social Security funds by keeping patients indefinitely, whereby making the patients become dependent on SSI benefits who finally lose interest in getting back into the workforce. Why would a person go to work for minimum wage when he gets the same amount for doiong nothing. There is no oversite on the evaluation of their patients and are not working in the interest of rehabilitating the patients. Dept of Mental Health funds could be better used to serve the more severely Mentally Ill than those who are in CONREP, period. Its about time we are getting some information about CONREP. I am interested in information about GATEWAYS Los Angeles and their counterpart
FCTP. Lets get the media to investigate and provide us with their investigative reeports. Lets make this the forum for Gateways & FCTP to deny these
facts so we can provide them with more facts. One of their lies will make them tell more to protect the first lie, keep it up.
Does anyone have details about San Bernando CONREP,? There was news in 2008 that the CONREP officials were charged with FRAUD and Misappropriation of State and Federal Funds. The Program Director was involved as well as many senior officials were asked to resign, and one official joined Patton Hospital, after that. Please see if anyone can get a link to that news and provide us the link.
In a recent Trial a Patient who got Restored to Sanity proved to the Jury about several lies that were presented to the Jury by Gateways and FCTP Staff. The Defense Attorney asked Dr Cindy Lamont, How many patients she knew that were recommended for restoration, her reply was 1(one) that she could recollect in her 5 to 6 years of service, and that one person didn't want to leave CONREP. Does that mean they choose the person who they know does'nt want to leave or that since that person didn't want to leave they didn't make a refferal to the court ?????? and therefore need'nt need to provide any evidence re her testimony. Enough of their word games and misinformation.
