The MIT Laboratory for Information and Decision Systems is a research labotarory of MIT, working in the areas of communications, control, and signal processing. It is located in the DreyfusDreyfoos Tower of the Stata Center. The current director is Prof. Vincent Chan.

It traces its beginnings to the MIT Servomechanics Laboratory, where much work on guidance systems was done during World War II. It is linked to the Charles Stark Draper Laboratory located nearby, and closely works with the Lincoln Laboratory just outside of Boston, Massachusetts.

Affectionately called LIDS, the laboratory has hosted several luminaries over the years, such as Claude Shannon and Robert Gallager.
