WineWrong islinks notwith ancross-language orphanlinks 2002-02-1505

special:LonelyPages lists Wine Is Not an Emulator as an orphan, when in fact, its 'Pages that link here' page shows that Wine links to it.
What's the deal?
--Damian Yerrick

Update: I linked to Wine Is Not an Emulator from another article, and it fell off the orphans list.
Does a page actually need two references to it to make it not an orphan?

No, it doesn't (and shouldn't), as far as I can tell...maybe linking from another article "refreshed" the orphan database thing? If you scroll down, someone posted a similar bug about Godfrey_Reggio and someone else thinks it might be because of the different ways to make spaces (_ %20 +): the articles treat them as the same but the Orphan page doesn't -- Dreamyshade

Computer freezing 2002-02-14 Gregorian

I've given up trying to read Anti-Americanism without my computer freezing. This has happened with other pages, including the 'last 250 changes' page and this bug reports page. Will someone please tell me whether or not the page Anti-Americanism takes into account the fact that according to NPR, Salon.com and others W. did not give money to the Taliban for the drug war, assuming the Taliban would not have spent money on the humanitarian causes we did fund? Also, will someone tell me if you've fixed the bug or thought of a way I can fix it at my end? You can reach me at Dan@discordia.zzn.com -- user:Dan

Wrong links with cross-language links 2002-02-05

On pages with cross language links, like Table tennis, all the links on the page show as external links, even though they're to Wikipedia articles.

14 Feb I add the name Georgi Konstantinovich Zhukov to Major figures of World War Two on the World_War_II page, hit save and scroll down to check it is there, it isn't, I hit refresh and I get a edit conflict.

11 Feb, Nested HTML tables do not work. It seems the wiki parser goes into "table mode" when it sees a <table> and exits table mode when it sees a </table>. Instead it should increment a table nesting integer for each <table> and decrement it for each </table> so that it can keep track of nesting levels. --user:Eob

:Just your luck, I'm rewriting the HTML-munging code at this moment, and the new code shows your table perfectly. Ought to be in place in the next day or two, along with some other bug fixes. --Brion VIBBER

Can't edit a redirected entry - 2002-02-12 Feb
I cannot edit the link for Juggler. It gets redirected to Juggling. On the Juggling page I click on the (redirected from Juggler) link but end up on the same page. Could someone try this out and let me know if the problem is specific to my OS/browser combination (MS/IE6)? --MarkReid

A third of the articles listed on special:WantedPages already exist. Clicking on the link to regenerate the page doesn't make them go away.

Update (2002-02-12):
By now, over 70 percent of the Most Wanted pages have been filled.
When I tried to refresh the page to bring in more entries, I got the following error:

::The timestamp is incorrect and needs to be fixed by someone with access to the database. --Brion VIBBER

Still broken as of the morning of 2002-02-15.
Will the next version of the code include sanity checks for a proper timestamp (such as if it's at least two days into the future, reset it now)?

(2002/1/25) External links and different namespaces should still be underlined,
or there's nothing to indicate to new users that they are actually clickable.

View current version is broken
The view current version link you get when viewing older revisions of pages doesn't work; it links to the same revision that you're viewing. --Matthew Woodcraft
