:It's accurate in the sense that this is sufficient for Turing equivalence, and therefore sufficient for any computation. Of course, if you want to interact with special hardware, such as a keyboard that returns a stream of characters, you'll need additional functions, just as you would in C if you wanted to get frames from an attached video camera.
