I still don't understand why wikipedia needs to state misconceptionsthat a misconception exists more prominently than the truth itself. We're here to provide facts, and the fact that a large number mathematicians of mathematicians have a fact incorrect seems less important to the ''first phrase of the entire article'' than ''the fact itself''.
