I was wondering if the wording in the first paragraph which mention "can be retrieved by the website" is actually misleading. Can suggest optionality and retrieved suggests an information pull by the webserver. :Web browsers normally delete session cookies when the user exits the browser. So it is automatically removed when user close the web browser.
 
Some popular modern browsers (chrome, firefox) by default will not delete session cookie.
