[http://gcc.gnu.org/gcc-4.3/changes.html This] GCC 4.3 Release Series description page instead tells us: gcj uses Eclipse Java compiler for parsing, making gcj accept [[Java_version_history#J2SE_5.0_.28September_30.2C_2004.29|Java 1.5]] (AKA 5.0) constructions. Maybe the page refd to, reflects that the parsing was suddenly much more mature without the gcj maintainers wiggling their fingers too much. [[User:Rursus|Rursus]] dixit. ::Ah, I found a reference indicating that this "maintenance mode" stuff is an unfounded extrapolation, namely [http://gcc.gnu.org/java/status.html GCJ Status] which was last modified Nov 2 2012. I think that the GCJ guys are not just announcement oriented. I'll surf around a little to see what last update really was. [[User:Rursus|Rursus]] dixit.
