In 2003, James Cook University, Australia, opened its first offshore campus in Singapore. JCU Singapore is a partnership with PSB Corporation of Singapore. JCU Singapore offers degree programs in Psychology, Information Technology, Business and Education. Its first intake of international students from the region arrived in July 2004 and the JCU Singapore International Campus now hosts students from more than 25many countries including Australia, Singapore, Myanmar, Vietnam, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, the People’s Republic of China, Pakistan, Indonesia, Bangladesh, the Seychelles and the Maldives. JCU Singapore currently has over 500 students and celebrated its first graduation ceremony in September 2005, with over 70 graduates from the Schools of Education, Psychology and Business.
 
A comprehensive range of facilities is available at the campus – lecture and tutorial rooms equipped with modern teaching technology, computer laboratories with broadband internet access, wireless internet-enabled floors, student lounge, cafeteria and library. A Psychology Clinic was opened at the campus in 2005 to provide clinical service to the public and as a training facility. Students studying at JCUS receive the same quality and enriching university education as their Australian peers.
